Moving with pets: practical tips for moving day

Pets notice packing weeks before you do. A few habits keep moving day calmer for them and safer for the crew.

Create a quiet room

Pick one room the crew will finish last. Put the pet carrier, food, leads and litter supplies there. Close the door while furniture moves through the hall.

Travel separately

Dogs, cats, birds and other animals do not travel on the removal van. That rule protects them and matches our terms. Plan a friend, family member or pet taxi.

At the new home

Set up food, water and a familiar blanket before the van doors open. Check garden fences in places like Ramsbottom before letting dogs explore.
